Sheridan&Co is looking for a Senior Fixture Development Designer to join our New York Office. As the ideal candidate, you are experienced in and open to working on projects of various scale, from POS units to retail fixtures and occasionally beyond. Experience doing this in the beauty industry is preferred. You should be ready to work with many of the world’s most ambitious brands in a variety of engaging and dynamic sectors.
In the role of Senior Fixture Development Designer, you will interpret the creative team’s design in a technical drawing while investigating all possible options for manufacturing, advising on material selection and ensuring that all designs are fit for purpose and intent. You will manage and be involved in a number of projects at one time, consistently delivering a high level of work on all projects and have full knowledge of all details in each project.
You must be able to demonstrate good knowledge and understanding of Sheridan&Co’s clients and each client’s target market/audience, so that you ensure all concepts are tailored to meet the expectations and requirements of the client.
You need to be able to confidently work with and present to clients and various suppliers to ensure requirements are upheld and communicated to the team. Costing of materials and manufacturing while finding ways to save on costs is integral to the job as well. You will also visit sites and suppliers as needed to ensure quality control.
The ability to work to tight deadlines is essential as is the ability to quickly turn around amends, so excellent time management and organizational skills are essential.
You will work with the Creative, Project Management and Client Services team in New York and the Development Team in our UK offices. You will be expected to take ownership of the development process in NY and adhere to departmental process when working on projects, therefore you must help to constantly review and work to improve the process to adapt to changing business and client needs.
You should be fluent using design software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD to create high quality 3D and 2D design visuals that are innovative and commercially justifiable solutions.
